The off-white Oxford shoes |
Let's get acquainted with Oxford shoes.
Before this, when I first saw these shoes, I thought they are only for men, but surprisingly the shoes also can be worn by woman. I knew about Oxford shoes when I first looking at Yoona's shoes in
Style Soshified website. (It is an informative site for someone who really love Korean fashion.) The off-white shoes really captured my eyes. Hence, I started to hit the Google button and search about the Oxford shoes.
This is what I got from Mr. Wikipedia. Some people said, the Oxford shoes also known as Brogue shoes. But, technically they are different to each other, for clarification click
here.
Oxford is style of laced shoe characterized by shoelace eyelet tabs that are stitched underneath the vamp. It was first appeared in Scotland and Ireland.
Brogue is a style of low-heeled shoe or boot traditionally characterized by multiple-piece, sturdy leather uppers with decorative perforations (or 'brogueing') and serration along the pieces' visible edges. The shoe is originated in Scotland and Ireland.
Yeah, the explanation above is a bit wordy, Google Image will give you a clearer picture I guess.
